Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

The Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations.

This is a very popular basic course for the workplace, for those without the time or budget to take the more comprehensive 3-day FAW course, or as a step towards that for the future.

The EFAW course will ordinarily be delivered in your workplace and we encourage all companies from small to large to have their employees trained to this level at the very least.

It covers a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The Award in Basic Life Support for Adults and Children qualification has been designed for anyone who wishes to learn basic life support skills for adults, children and infants. This course also helps towards CPD on any currently held First aid qualification.

This really is the most basic of courses and is something that every able adult should be undertaking at the very minimum. It is a solid, fundamental basis for the more in-depth courses that many will want to take soon after this course and for those without the time, budget or requirement for a Level 3 course, we absolutely recommend this as a starting point.

It covers: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR and choking.
